No clever words, just wrestling! Lets go!
Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey is set for Money in the Bank according to someplace that doesn’t usually include wrestling (NBC).
The Big Dog is the first out to the ring to a sea of boos. Michael Cole mentions Roman is mad at Jinder Mahal for his shenanigans from last week. It’s curtains for him! Actually Jinder will probably win the way things go for Roman. Roman says he was robbed! He says it wasn’t management this time, it was Jinder! RomeDog calls out the Modern Day Maharaja. Instead we get Uncle Kurt! Kurt says Jinder isn’t coming out. He says he wasn’t thinking logically when he denied Jinder a shot at Money in the Bank. Kurt says Jinder will be in a three way match to see who gets a shot. Roman says make it a Fatal Four way and then he can beat Jinder and go to MITB. Kurt shuts that down and says he understand that it sucks. Roman says he understands Kurt is doing what he has to do and now he’ll do what he has to do. I honestly thought Roman was going to Superman punch him. He leaves instead. Roman is backstage wandering around, looking for Jinder. He passes by minions, left and right. He ends up seeing Jinder, randomly, walking down a hall. The pair brawl for a little bit AND ALMOST DESTROY A WHOLE PLATE OF BANANAS! Roman starts rolling random things into Jinder, crates and such. The fight comes out to the stage. Jinder gets a Superman punch before the goons from backstage come out. Jinder slinks away and Romedaddy is stopped by refs, two randoms in suits, and Uncle Kurt.
Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens:
The O2 is amped for this match. Kevin Owens comes out swinging first. He throws Rollins into the corner but Rollins rebounds quickly and lays Owens out. Seth hits big chest chops and irish whips Rollins but Kevin rolls away. Seth goes for a Suicide Dive but Owens catches him and tosses him into the ring post. Owens with the Senton. Rollins gets launched out of the ring and bounces off the floor. Commercial #1. Good match so far. Great pacing will lead to some really exciting moments near the finish. Back from commercial and we get more KO in charge. Kevin gets Rollins on his shoulder but Seth crawls off. KO is outside the ring and pulls Seth out there. KO goes for Apron powerbomb but Seth gets away. He tries again on the apron but Seth reverses and hits a Falcon Arrow on the apron. Holy hell! Back in the ring KO charges Rollins but Seth moves. Rollins hits two suicide dives on KO. Kevin and Seth are putting on a hell of a show here. KO goes for Popup powerbomb but Seth Jumps over it. He tries to set up something and KO flips Seth over. Seth hits a Superkick, Kevin hits one in his daze and a killer clothesline. Rollins hits a big knee but Kevin kicks at two. Seth goes got a big Frog Splash but KO gets the knees up and rolls Seth up! Two!! Owens goes for his own FS but Seth kicks him. KO reverses and hits a Fishermans Buster. Both men are dead. Rollins ends up hitting Stomp on Owens for the win.
Winner by Face Destruction: Seth Rollins
That match was awesome. Though the crowd sound seems to be edited heavily. London isn’t quiet.
They show the NBC thing from earlier today. Nia Jax talks trash to Ronda Rousey.
Uncle Kurt just found out about this and is talking on the phone when Dallas and Axel walk up just being weird as hell. They want a Tag Team championship shot. Kurt says they haven’t won a tag team match yet. Kurt puts them in a match as long as they leave him alone for the rest of the night.
No Way Jose vs. Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode:
Roode is crushing everyone right off the bat. Jose is out early and Roode just runs to town on Corbin. Baron reverses Roodes advances but gets clobbered by Jose. Back from commercial Corbin is in control of Roode. Jose is dead outside apparently. Baron hammers Roode in the corner as Jose randomly appears again. Jose starts clobbering Corbin with some biiiig right hands and a big boot. Jose hits a big cross body but Roode breaks it up. Roode and Jose go at it for a little bit before Corbin comes back from the dead and takes control. Roode hits a big clothesline off of the Top Rope then does the Glorious thing! Roode slams Corbin and Jose rolls him up. Roode kicks and Jose sends him flying out of the ring. Corbin is back and takes out both men. Corbin hits a chokeslam back breaker sort of thing on Jose and I popped. It was sexy. Roode catches a Deep Six but Jose breaks it up. Corbin is back up and runs through everyone but gets sent out of the ring. Roode hits the Glorious DDT on Jose and gets the win!
Winner by shiniest tights: The Glorious Bobby Roode!
Roode is going to MITB.
Backstage is Uncle Kurt. Kevin Owens comes up and complains. Kurt is tired of everyones shit and shuts down KO. Kevin says he’ll call Stephanie McMahon.
In the trainers room: Jinder wants the match to be post-poned but Kurt, giving about zero Fs, tells him no because its…best for business!
The “B” Team vs. Breezango:
Tyler Breeze starts things off against Bo Dallas. They talk trash to each other. Tyler goes for a quick roll up, a few times, but Bo gets out of each of them and he rolls out of the ring. Axel distracts Breeze and Bo gets the upperhand. Axel is in and beats down Tyler Breeze. Bo tags in and continues the assault. Tyler hits a desperation back drop and both me tag. Fandango takes it to Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. Quite a few pin attempts are tried between the two. Fandango misses a top rope leg drop. The B team hits some sort of double team move and get the pin.
Winner by submission move that is also a name for emergency contraceptive: The B Team
Charlie interviews the two after the match. Axel and Dallas lose it and London loves it.
Sasha Banks/Natalya/Ember Moon vs. The Riott Squad
My hatred for 6-person tag matches is document pretty well on here so let’s just pretend like I missed it and I’m giving you highlights instead. Sarah Logan was not looking to hot at the beginning. Just sloppy selling. She’s strong though so that’s always a plus. Sasha gets the hell beaten out of here for a second but she reverses. There was a 3 on 3 show down but it was broken up by a commercial. Thanks McDonalds… My wife decided to tell me random wrestling facts during the commercial. Liv Morgan is only 23. Wowzers. Speaking of Liv, shes was getting wrecked by Sasha Banks until the numbers of the Riott Squad take over. Natalya hasn’t been in this match at all. Liv hits a nice top rope Bulldog on Sasha. For a second she looked like Margo Robbie and that excites me in many ways. When Nattie finally does get the tag she destroys everyone. She goes for the sharpshooter but shenanigans happen and chaos ensues. Natalya ends up getting the Sharpshooter in and ends this chaotic ass match.
Winner by using your Uncle’s old finisher: Natalya/Sasha Banks/Ember Moon
McIntrye and Ziggler phone promo. I like this one actually. Ziggler doesn’t look at the camera too much so it adds something a little bit more special.
The Revival vs. The Deleter of Worlds
Matt and Wilder lock up. Wilder ends up doing a kip up and Broken Matt thinks its WONDERFUL! Bray comes in and gets a quick beat down. Bray freaks Dawson and tags in Matt. They hit some double team but on Dawson but he gets the tag to Wilder and the Revival get the drop on Matt Hardy. Dawson works over Hardy’s leg, dragging him around the ring. Wilder tags in, as well as Bray. Bray crushes Wilder. Hardy tags in and they hit their double team finisher, the “Kiss of Deletion” for the win.
Winner by poorly named Finishers: Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy
Back stage is an awkward meeting between Sasha and Bayley. Sasha wishes Bayley luck tonight.
Sami Zayn is out in the ring. He talks about the Royal Family, then goes on about Bobby Lashley. Sami replays Bobby doing a delayed suplex on him a few weeks back. Sami says he got Vertigo from that. Sami has a doctor’s note, pulls out his glasses, and reads. He says Vertigo is why he’s had such misfortune the last few weeks. He rips on Bobby and his interview last week. He invited Bobby’s sisters to Raw next week to expose Bobby Lashley. Oh God No….
Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James vs. Bayley:
Mickie and Alexa team up on Bayley right away. It was so heinous that we go to commercial…. Annnnd we’re back to Bayley still getting double teamed. This continues for a while until Bayley magically hulks up and takes on both. Mickie eventually hits a monster uppercut and sends Bayley back but Bayley is resilient. Alexa takes Bayley out and goes for the pin but Mickie wrecks Alexa’s face and stops the count. Bayley comes back takes both of them out again. She gets a few near falls then is pulled out of the ring by Mickie. Bayley rolls back in the ring and gets the hell slapped out of her by Alexa and gets a DDT for her troubles. Alexa wins.
Winner by being the smallest in the ring: Alexa Bliss
Jinder Is backstage being wrapped up by a medical guy. Roman spears the piss out of him through a wall. Uh ohhhhhh.
Finn Balor and Braun Strowman vs. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre:
Strowman and McIntyre have a big staredown right at the beginning of the match. Finn and Dolph start things out. Zig and Finn have a good exchange, with Finn bringing Ziggler over so he can tag Braun but Zig gets away. McIntyre comes in and calls out Braun. Braun comes in and they face each other down. Drew talks shit to Strowman then tags Ziggler. We get a commercial because everyone is afraid of what till happen to Ziggler. Back from commercial and Ziggler is dead with Braun and Finn standing over him. Finn goes to run the ropes and Drew pulls his legs out. Zig and McIntyre lay into Finn hard. Braun paces back and forth on the apron, wanting to come in and kill McIntyre. Ziggler tags in and battles with Finn for a little bit before tagging Drew back in. Finn fights back and gets the tag. Braun kills everyone. Ziggler gets clubbed down by Strowman. Braun charges Ziggler but Zig moves and Braun slams the ringpost. Finn tags in and starts to do the Finn Balor “end of match is coming soon, lets set up my moves” moves. Sling Blades for everyone. Finn goes up for a Coup de Gras but McIntyre grabs him. Braun runs around the ring and smashes into Drew, who flies into Braun’s trophy! Oh damn. Dolph rolls up Finn in the confusion and gets the win.
Winner by sneaky sneaky Ziggler moves: Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre
Elias is in the ring but is interrupted right away by Kevin Owens. He's coming down to the ring.
Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens vs. Elias:
KO rolls out of the ring right away and Elias goes for Lashley. KO comes right back in and the two heels take on Lashley. Bobby gets the better of both of them and destroys everyone in the ring. Back from a super late commercial and we have Lashley still killing everyone. The numbers game finally catches up to him, allowing KO and Elias to take control. KO and Elias turn on each other then get mad at each other for doing that. Lashley is back up and slams Elias hard, KO comes out of nowhere but Lashley overpowers him. The crowd chants "Bobby's Sisters" lol. Elias comes out of the rafters with a knee and the ring is clear. The crowd is chanting random things now. JoJo brings Elias a guitar and a mic. He tries to play but KO interrupts him. Lashley is back too now and everyone trades moves and reverses. Elias is the star of this match for sure. Lashley is getting better spots but everyone is behind Elias. Lashley has everyone in the ring and just starts destroying everyone. Elias and Owens double team again. They try to double team but Lashley hits a double suplex. KO stops Lashley then goes to the top rope. Elias grabs and powerbombs KO from the top! Lashley breaks up the pin but Elias has some punches for him. Lashley hits a press slam then some sort of Finisher. Sami Zayn comes out and attacks Lashley. KO hits the Frog Splash and gets the win!
Winner by Shenanigans of the highest order: Kevin Owens
Decent way to end Raw. KO will shine in the MITB match for sure so it will be great to watch him.
