And not only that, if Lesner does wrestle a PPV match, the rumored amount is $637,000 per pay-per-view fight. You know the ones that last 10 minutes, all the while Brock is turning all sorts of shades of red and purple from blowing up. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Think logically about this for a second. Has Brock Lesnar REALLY done anything to bring more viewers to the WWE product? Has the needle really moved much when he's on the show compared to when he isn't on the show? NO it has not. People may claim that Brock is a draw, but the truth is the money they pay him, they surely don't get back. $637,000 for what? To wrestle 5-10 minutes? Doing a few suplexes, maybe some knees, throw a guy to the outside, and then do an F5? OMG if we're lucky, we might even get to see him do multiple F5's. I'm sorry folks but in my eyes, this contract is the biggest waist of money the WWE has ever spent. This makes the money Eric Bischoff threw around in WCW look like chump change.
Just think of all the great Indie talent that WWE could sign with that money. Just one PPV match that Lesner has, could pay for multiple rising stars. Both male and female. But instead what does WWE do. Instead of investing that money into multiple top talents, they would rather dish out that money to Lesner and make cuts to the roster to make up for his bloated contract.
The sad part about all this is that somehow in Vince McMahon's mind, he sees Brock Lesner as some shining light on the hill. That regardless of his low quality matches and non existent promo's. He's willing to pay him pretty much whatever he wants, and frankly that is beyond sad to me. It's sad that Vince can't see or understand that the WWE universe can still function and prosper without Brock Lesner even in the company. This company has so many stars that could easily carry the torch. For heavens sake, Brock isn't even the face of the company....
And that's all I got to say about that!
