Rick Titan Aka #RickBognar Has Passed Away At The Age Of 49 In Calgary Alberta Canada
It is with great sadness that I share some news with Rick's Facebook friends. On September 20th Rick passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the young age of 49. It is tough to comprehend and will likely never sink in fully. Rick left behind a great legacy and I know he will be remembered and missed by all of us. Ken Bognar (Rick's brother)
The Story of the Fake Razor Ramon and Diesel When the WWE lost Scott Hall and Kevin Nash to WCW in 1996, their characters Razor Ramon and Diesel somehow managed to make a comeback later in the year. Scott Hall had portrayed Razor Ramon during his initial tenure in the World Wrestling Federation. Kevin Nash had portrayed Diesel in the WWF. Both men had success in the company but both men also decided to jump over to WCW. When Kevin Nash and Scott Hall made their WCW debut, it was implied that they were invaders, coming from the WWF to take over World Championship Wrestling. Scott Hall continued to "act" like Razor Ramon, and Nash, well, acted like Nash, which wasn't too far from the Diesel character anyway. Vince McMahon attempted to legally stop Hall and Nash from portraying the Razor Ramon and Diesel WWF characters while the men were in WCW. Vince McMahon would go one step further when it was announced that Razor Ramon and Diesel would be returning to the WWF. In a classic bait and switch, wrestling fans thought that maybe Hall and Nash were returning to the WWF to resume their careers as Razor and Diesel. This wasn't the case. Rick Bognar came to the ring as Razor Ramon, and Glenn Jacobs followed soon as Diesel. Vince McMahon, trying to prove here that he created Diesel and Razor Ramon and that the characters belonged in the WWF, was happy to give these two incredibly over gimmicks to two other men. It all accomplished nothing.
