– Crazy Nikki is backstage being crazy, she wants to play with Bianca again. She then again says, “I know’ and laughs.
Lacey Evans vs. Candice LaRae: They lock up, Evans looks to overpower LaRae but LaRae lays in chops but Evans cuts her off. LaRae fights her off, heads up top and misses, rolls through and Evans runs her over. Evans now lays the boots to LaRae, hits a broncobuster, and covers for 2. Evans now works a head scissors, does pushups, and locks on a sleeper before slamming LaRae down. Evans follows with a kick and again grounds things, while pulling the hair. LaRae fights out of the cobra clutch, and Evans misses the slingshot elbow drop. LaRae connects with an enziguri, follows with strikes, and follows with a running kick. LaRae to the ropes and hits the flying flatliner for 2. Evans fights off the unprettier, and calls LaRae a loser like her husband, LaRae fires up with crazy fists, the ref backs her off, and Evans hits the women’s right for the win. Lacey Evans defeated Candice LaRae @ 6:03 via pin [**¼] This was a solid back and forth match, with Evans picking up another win when LeRae lost her cool (like her husband recently), causing her the loss. Evans continues to be solid in the ring while her character work is really good.
– We get a video package hyping Ricochet vs. Dunne vs. Cole for the North American Championship. It was a great, PPV quality, video package.
– Ciampa says when you’re at the top they are always after you, blaming you while trying to cover their own tracks, like Velveteen Dream. Ciampa says he didn’t attack Black and shifts the blame to Dream. If Dream isn’t careful, he’ll turn the dream into a nightmare.
The Forgotten Sons (Blake, Ryker, Cutler)vs. Jimmy, Johnny, & Joey Boots & Tights: Cutler is wearing a faceguard as he has a broken nose. Ryker starts off destroying fools, Cutler in and then Blake as they work triple teams. The Sons dominate, the jobbers get a tag and he’s ended by a sick lariat. Cutler in and the double stomp/inverted DDT follows. Ryker now hits the slingshot powerbomb for the win. The Forgotten Sons defeated Jimmy, Johnny, & Joey Boots & Tights @ 2:20 via pin [NR] A fine squash to continue the build of The Forgotten Sons.
– We get highlights of Kairi Sane & Shayna Baszler’s angle from last week, setting up their rematch at Evolution. This leads to a Shayna Baszler video package, further hyping the match
– Bianca Belair in interviewed and asked about a rematch with Nikki Cross. Belair says she is undefeated and that won’t change anytime soon, and she plans to embarrass Nikki.
Johnny Gargano vs. Tony Nese: I’m getting EVOLVE flashbacks. They lock up and Nese hits a shoulder tackle but Gargano cuts him off with a RANA but Nese cuts off the suicide dive with a running back elbow. Nese follows with chops, but Gargano dumps him and follows with a suicide dive. Gargano follows with chop on the floor, back in and Gargano up top but Nese cuts him off and follow with a gut buster for 2. Nese now grounds the action, working a bear hug and then a body scissors. Gargano starts to work his way out, lays in strikes, but Nese trips him up and then misses the springboard moonsault; Gargano plants him with a DDT. They trade strikes, Gargano then hits the slingshot spear for 2. Gargano now lays the boots to Nese, Nese fires back with a forearm and a flurry of kicks until Gargano cuts him off with a kick, but Nese cradles him for 2. Gargano quickly locks on the Gargano escape, but Nese powers out and hits a buckle bomb. Gargano to the floor, Nese follows and Gargano cuts him off, but back in and Nese cuts off the slingshot DDT and dumps Gargano. Nese follows with the Fosbury flop. Back in and the 450 connects but Gargano kicks out! Nese looks for the running Nese strike, misses and Gargano hits an enziguri but Nese Germans him to the buckles. Gargano hits a Desperation superkick and clothesline. The Gargano escape finished it. Johnny Gargano defeated Tony Nese @ 9:45 via submission [***¾] After failures to Ciampa and Dream, Gargano finally gets back on the winning track. It wasn’t easy as Nese gave Gargano a great fight, but Gargano overcame and not only got back on the winning side, but is finally acting more like himself. Nese continues to deliver despite the company having no clear vision for him; this was very, very good stuff.
– We get a video package on Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan.
– In two weeks, Nikki Cross vs. Bianca Belair II.
EC3 vs. Lars Sullivan: EC3 rushes the ring, taking the fight to Lars and taking him to the floor. EC3 follows and slams Lars to the steps a few times, Lars keeps fighting but EC3 finally takes him down. Lars’ back is all scratched up as he gets back in the ring. Lars misses a charge and posts himself, allowing EC3 to hits a slam and elbow drop for 1. EC3 follows with a missile dropkick and headlock driver for 2. Lars finally cuts him off with a lariat and then tosses EC3 across the ring. Lars then delivers cross face strikes, and covers for 1. Lars grounds the action, but EC3 powers out and hits a German. The corner splash follows and he heads up top and hits a high cross for 2. Lars then cuts him off with a short-armed clothesline but EC3 fights off the freak accident and the Cactus clothesline sends them both to the floor. Lars hits the freak accident o the apron, back in, and Lars hits the top rope head butt and that finishes it. Lars Sullivan defeated EC3 @ 7:00 via pin
