Charlotte Flair being promised the main event is untrue. The original plan was not even for Ronda Rousey to be in the main event. The original plan was to have been Roman Reigns headlining likely against Dean Ambrose
Ronda Rousey vs Natalya was going to be the women’s main event on the Raw side. But two things changed those plans. Both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair getting hurt and the passing of Jim Neidhart.
Vince felt after Neidhart died he didn’t want to turn Natalya heel. Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair has long been expected to be the match and even main event before things changed
Becky Lynch then got hot and everyone was on same page for Rousey vs Lynch at Wrestlemania and Rousey vs Flair at Royal Rumble. Rousey vs Lynch is the Mania match.
The decision to have it go on last as the main event has not been made yet and probably won’t be until very close to show time. It could also end up being a triple threat with Charlotte being added
