(NOAH) EVENT RECAP - SENDAI PIT, SENDAI "STARTING OVER" 5TH DECEMBER 2019

12/5/2019

Noah came to a cold Sendai city today for their final tour of 2019 (at the SENDAI PIT, who are sponsored by "Team Smile", when ironically Noah boasts the grumpiest man in puro), and en route Masao Inoue was harassed by Takashi Sugiura who filmed him eating noodles. You know the weather is cold when Yoshinari Ogawa breaks out the denim jacket (or Daisuke Harada in a summer t-shirt eats ice cream in sub zero temperatures).
New fans came to Noah today, and again many of them (fans both old and new, those who had never seen Noah live before, and those who came for the first time), said they went to sleep with a smile after the show.

I am afraid it is one of those times when I have more to say about some matches than others, and in others I can only post results.

MATCH ONE
YO-HEY vs Hi69
WINNER: Draw (match only lasted 15 minutes)

MATCH TWO
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm) & Minoru Tanaka vs The Anti Wrestlers Alliance (Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue) & Junta Miyawaki.

Mohammed Yone and Akitoshi Saito started talking to each other after the bell, which led to Minoru Tanaka saying, "What are you talking about!"

WINNER: Minoru Tanaka with the Minoru Special on Junta Miyawaki (10 minutes, 25 seconds)

Junta might not have won, but a fan told her friend that she thought he was handsome...

MATCH THREE
Dragon Bane vs El Hijo de Canis Lupus

The Lucha brothers entered the crowd with more than their high flying moves, they also had a bit of brotherly comedy, and Dragon Bain wore black wings today.
The match itself has been described as "exquisite", and Naomichi Marufuji (who was watching), described it as "Amazing."

WINNER: El Hijo de Canis Lupus with the Dragon Suplex Hold (8 minutes, 22 seconds)

MATCH FOUR
RATELS (HAYATA, Daisuke Harada & Tadasuke) vs STINGER (Yoshinari Ogawa, Kotaro Suzuki & Atsushi Kotoge)

YO-HEY (worried for HAYATA) came out to second the others in RATELS for their match against STINGER today (RATELS did Tadasuke's entry). Tadasuke has asked fans not to throw tape when he is on the turnbuckle as he doesn't like being hit in the face with it, and to wait for his being announced to do it when he is safely on the floor.

HAYATA and Ogawa faced off soon after they entered the ring.
Atsushi Kotoge fought with Daisuke Harada, at one point he apparently made the "come on" motion with his hands.

Ogawa picked up where Chris Ridgeway left off, by taking every opportunity to attack HAYATA'S ankle, at one point on the stage at the side of the ring.

WINNER: Referee stop 22 minutes, 44 seconds via Yoshinari Ogawa having HAYATA in an ankle lock

After the match, Ogawa grabbed the GHC Junior Heavyweight belt, and told HAYATA (who was leaning against a protective YO-HEY), and spoke on the microphone, warning HAYATA that there were "painful days ahead", before throwing the belt down at him and walking off, pausing briefly at the side of the ring to make fake sobbing and rubbing eye motions.

MATCH FIVE
The Sugiura Army (Takashi Sugiura, Hajime Ohara & Kinya Okada) vs Kongoh (Kenoh, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura)

Kenoh had one of his moments of paranoia earlier when he saw a picture that Naomichi Marufuji had taken a couple of days ago of himself, Takashi Sugiura and Kaito Kiyomiya out drinking, and said that he wasn't scared of any of them (he probably imagines they were out plotting against him). Kitamiya will take the belt from Sugiura, and it starts today in Sendai.
Picture
Yoshiki Inamura and "my rival", Kinya Okada clashed today. Okada sadly due to injury is not at the same level as his kayfabe rival (and real life roommate), but he is starting to catch up somewhat, as he fought back better than ever today, at one point managing to slam Inamura.

Kitamiya and Sugiura tore into each other, with one fan commenting that Kitamiya was becoming even more like Masa Saito, especially in size.

WINNER: Masa Kitamiya with the Saito Suplex on Kinya Okada (21 minutes, 11 seconds)

MATCH SIX
Kaito Kiyomiya, Naomichi Marufuji & Shuhei Taniguchi vs Kumaxiz (Katsuhiko Nakajima, Go Shiozaki & Hitoshi Kumano)

This was the first pre-match between Go Shiozaki and Kaito Kiyomiya before their title match in January 2010. Shiozaki gave Kiyomiya a long hard stare when Kiyomiya got into the ring (he was also flexing his heavily taped elbows, which look more stuffed than ever under the athletic supports after Korakuen Hall). Shiozaki got right in his face. Fans have sensed that this is just the beginning, and it's going to build up massively.

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya with the Tiger Suplex on Hitoshi Kumano (20 minutes, 37 seconds)

Although he didn't get the win, there was a faint smile on Go Shiozaki's face today as he left the ring so he and Nakajima could help Kumano up who had rolled out of it and was lying against the apron, as Kaito Kiyomiya spoke in the ring to say that he would take "the leading role in Noah's 20th anniversary year".

Then pretty much everyone got drunk...these were taken at 3.30\4am....
