"Pro Wrestlers fight their opponents, themselves, and their fans.
The supreme challenge is to satisfy their fans.
Compared with other matches, it gets condemned as lacking in reality.
It is artistic. I believe in that power, and I do not doubt it.
And since the individuality of Noah echoes deeply, I support it."
The latter end of the tour has been working for three days in a row, travelling for six hours or so on the next, then its another "moving day" (four hours and a half to Osaka), and then another two days straight of shows, and then a nice long rest from the 26th January to the 1st February.
Welcome to the glamorous life of a wrestler.
Minoru Tanaka celebrates his 25th anniversary in wrestling on the 24th January; however, as Noah have no show on the 24th, a special event was planned for him today.
I am afraid this was one of those times when I had lots of pictures, but not much telling me what was happening. I have managed to put together a rough report nonetheless.
Apparently there were lots of new fans who came to Noah today.
Local bear Hitoshi Kumano, was on autograph duty today.
Hi69 & Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Akitoshi Saito & Yoshiki Inamura (Winner: Hi69 with the Camel Clutch on Yoshiki Inamura, 11 minutes and 2 seconds)
Katsuhiko Nakajima grinning when he had Inamura in a sleeper hold, he wasn't grinning later when Inamura (heavyweight Inamura) evidently did some kind of somersault kick on him.
Minoru Tanaka vs Masao Inoue (Minoru Tanaka with the Cobra Twist, 8 minutes and 24 seconds)
Minoru Tanaka was about to get out of the ring at the end of the match when he heard Hi69 speaking on the microphone, announcing that it was his 25th anniversary in wrestling. He was suddenly surprised with a bouquet of flowers. Minoru Tanaka was genuinely surprised as he had no idea at all that Noah were going to do this for him.
Atsushi Kotoge & Kotaro Suzuki vs Junta Miyawaki & Kinya Okada (Kotaro Suzuki with the Running Elbow on Kinya Okada, 12 minutes and 9 seconds)
After the match Atsushi Kotoge attempted to give Kotaro Suzuki his black cloak.
Suzuki protested and then took it, looked at it, went to throw it around his shoulders, and then walked off (most likely having had flashbacks of his days as Mushiking Terry...)
Maybach Taniguchi, Cody Hall & Mitsuya Nagai ("The Hooligans") vs Takashi Sugiura, Mohammed Yone & Quiet Storm (Takashi Sugiura with the Olympic Slam on Mitsuya Nagai, 15 minutes and 51 seconds)
Masao Inoue fell foul of Cody Hall today when he was standing at the merchandise booth watching the match, and the fight came over to where he was, and Hall ripped up the calendar page with Inoue on it.
Inoue has commented "This is unforgivable!"
Go Shiozaki & Daisuke Harada vs Kenoh & YO-HEY (Daisuke Harada with the Boston Crab on YO-HEY, 14 minutes and 59 seconds)
This was a rare teaming between Kenoh & YO-HEY and Daisuke Harada & Go Shiozaki.
Daisuke Harada finally beat YO-HEY today, and YO-HEY remarked (in the manner of someone who says that they let them win), "I didn't feel like winning today".
Kaito Kiyomiya, HAYATA & Tadasuke vs Masa Kitamiya, Hajime Ohara & Hitoshi Kumano (Hitoshi Kumano with the Argentine Backbreaker on HAYATA, 19 minutes and 36 seconds)
Called "the local Derby" as both HAYATA and Hitoshi Kumano are from Hiroshima, and despite everything that happened yesterday, HAYATA and Tadasuke managed to get along.
After the match, Hitoshi Kumano addressed the crowd and said, "I have returned to Hiroshima with the belt, it has been a long time, I will not let it go easily." He then spoke about the title challenge and said he would not be defeated easily.
