Limited edition Noah t-shirts being sold today at Korakuen Hall to mark Noah's 18th birthday

"Hottest summer place in Japan, hotter that anywhere else"

4th August 2018 marks Noah's 18th birthday. A history of the company can be found here.
It's a miracle that Noah have even made it to this point.  "Departure" was Noah's first show which was held in Differ Ariake in 2000; the event was super sold out, so much so monitors were erected in the parking lot for fans who could not get in.

Yoshiki Inamura will be making his debut today, however that doesn't mean he is excused (or will be for a while) his ring attendant duties. Happily, Kimiya Okada was also there, which means his injury was not enough to hospitalize him. Okada too was meant to debut today but sadly this has had to be postponed.
Inamura was given his own banner (small, slim and simple with just his name and a message of good luck), his parents were handing out paper tape for him.
It was noted that the Eastern Heroes (the Chinese athletes) also have banners.

Naomichi Marufuji was on hand to sign autographs at the booth today, while Ricky Marvin took charge of the private photo session with the Noah's Ark FanClub members, both were part of the "Golden Era" of Noah, and in the case of Marufuji, he has been with Noah since the beginning having walked out with Mitsuharu Misawa from All Japan in 2000.

No interval today. Sold out crowd, and a great atmosphere. After the event, "The Leave" (long term Noah sponsors) provided candy, which were handed out by Junta Miyawaki and Atsushi Kotoge (don't worry about any spares, with Noah's remorseless eating machine around, none will go to waste).

The event will be broadcast on Samurai on the 12th August at 22.00 (Japan Standard Time)

MATCH 1
Daisuke Harada, Tadasuke, Sun Yi Lin vs Yoshinari Ogawa, Seiya Morohashi & Junta Miyawaki.

It was hoped that Junta Miyawaki would get his first win, but sadly it was not meant to be.

WINNER: Tadasule with the lariat on Junta Miyawaki (8 minutes, 29 seconds)

MATCH 2
Maybach Taniguchi, Mitsuya Nagai & Cody Hall vs Masao Inoue, Chan Yu Feng, Lin Dong Xuan

Fight broke out before the bell even rang between the two sides ("The Hooligans" are feuding with the Eastern Heroes i.e. the Chinese athletes), started by Mitsuya Nagai. Brawling all over the arena. Mitsuya Nagai (as usual) arguing with the crowd (he once told an old woman "shut up, you old bag". I think Noah have told him to stop taking fan towels to choke his opponents with after someone came storming over in high dudgeon and tried to take it off him).

Match said to be good, Eastern Heroes coming along nicely (although you can still tell how green they are).

WINNER: Maybach Taniguchi with the Zwei Bomb on Masao Inoue (11 minutes and 18 seconds)

MATCH 3
50 Funky Powers (Mohammed Yone and Quiet Storm) vs Atsushi Kotoge & Kaito Kiyomiya

"Its a terrible trick to force someone to "revolutionise"

The "Revolutionary Cloak" is back, Kiyomiya looking a little embarrassed (who can blame him, he's gone from a sensible quiet tag partner, to a complete nutcase, who again ran around the arena today). Kotoge also seems to have developed a pose whereby he stands on one foot, and stretches his arm out, you know, kind of like a Superman flying pose. Despite all of this, the crowd love him, and I think Kotoge loves doing comedy.

The Revolutiontary Disco pose off happened again today. Disco was once considered a form of revolution...and Kotoge made Yone do the revolutionary fist pose when he had him in a lock.

Kiyomiya praised today for an extremely high dropkick (Marufuji once told him his were very good, so he "cherishes" them), and very clean and safe moves.

WINNER: Quiet Storm with the 50cm Lariat on Atsushi Kotoge (11 minutes and 8 seconds)

MATCH 4
BATTLE ROYALE
Picture

Yoshiki Inamura made his debut. Everyone in the match\matches beforehand participated in this (and Kotoge put his cape back on)
Lots of paper tape for Inamura and he started off by attacking Kiyomiya. Inamura was taken out by a brainbuster from Quiet Storm. There was HUGE applause for him, despite being only in the ring for a few minutes.
Kotoge was eliminated by Kiyomiya, and Tadasuke eliminated Harada (who gave him a filthy look and stalked off).
Said to be a very fun match.

WINNER: Kaito Kiyomiya (he also won the Battle Royale in Hokkaido) - 10 minutes and 22 seconds

MATCH 5
Hi69, Minoru Tanaka & Ricky Marvin vs Ikuto Hidaka, Takuya Sugawara & El Hijo Del Pantera

Today as well as being Noah's 18th, it is also Ikuto Hidaka's 46th birthday. Nothing really too much to say for this match as I think that the crowd were wiped out by the Battle Royale, but there is lots of hope that Marvin will return to Noah, and Minoru Tanaka spat water into Hidaka's face when he shook his hand

WINNER: Ikuto Hideki with the Solarina on Ricky Marvin (12 minutes and 25 seconds)

MATCH 6
Takashi Sugiura, Naomichi Marufuji, Masato Tanaka & Akitoshi Saito vs Go Shiozaki, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Masa Kitamiya & Kenoh

"All the belts have been taken, those old  men think they can do what they want." (Kenoh)

As soon as Masato Tanaka tagged in, so did Kenoh.
Katsuhiko Nakajima flattened Marufuji and smirked then he and Masato Tanaka had a massive kick\elbow battle. Sugiura and Shiozaki also faced off, and knocked each other down.

Akitoshi Saito dodged Kenoh's footstomp first time, didn't the second time, Kenoh got the win using the cocky pin!!

Very intense match (described as "tremendous")

Afterwards Kenoh challenged for the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, his partner is going to be Kiyomiya. Kiyomiya came out and challenged too, "I will win that belt, and with it enter the future of Noah"
Marufuji asked the crowd "who do you think my partner is?" Crowd replied "Saito"
The Aggression, who had been watching, got into the ring, and knocked Saito down.

WINNER: Kenoh with the diving footstomp on Akitoshi Saito (20 minutes and 42 seconds)

MATCH 7
GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE FINALS
YO-HEY & HAYATA vs The Backbreakers (Hajime Ohara & Hitoshi Kumano)

Hall was on fire, said to be "the best match on the show" with Daisuke Harada and Tadasuke at ringside for RATELS.

The two boys from Hiroshima, HAYATA and Hitoshi Kumano faced off, (both have done work for the reconstruction of the area. Kumano arranged for the collection, and HAYATA went down there to help out at the Dove Pro dojo)
Hajime Ohara still suffering with neck injury (which in hindsight, maybe it is a mercy)
YO-HEY mocking Ohara by sitting like he does (its how the students sit in gym class), he didn't find it so funny when Ohara did it while putting him in a lock hold.

Afterwards YO-HEY said "there was a lot of cheers for the Backbreakers, but I know that there were cheers for the blonde couple! We won two consecutive victories because we have the most love in Noah! I want to excite the Noah Jnrs! Is it still interesting? Next, would you like to have a single league match?"
President Uchida has confirmed YO-HEY'S request (and that of HAYATA, who said "same"), it seems that Ikuto Hidaka (who was having a bit of a Twitter war with YO-HEY earlier) has asked for this too
YO-HEY kissed his trophy when leaving the ring.

WINNERS OF JUNIOR GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2018: HAYATA & YO-HEY (2nd consecutive year) - YO-HEY with the win over Hajime Ohara with the Bamboo Dragonfly (26 minutes and 5 seconds)

"The fans are getting excited.
It's sober and steady, but a good cycle is being born"

ATTENDANCE: 1521 people (super crowded)

With thanks to: Metal-Noah, Abeshin, Duskin, Shishido, Noah GHC, Behind P, Marianne, Maybachmetapoko, Even if I remove the mask, nothing has changed
