Due to the Coronavirus, the Japanese Ministry of Health have recommended that sporting and public events in Japan be cancelled. While the question of the Olympics is still up in the air, all boxing and MMA has been cancelled for now, and Sumo holding shows with no audience, with the athletes testing their temperature up to three times a day before they can compete.
Both DDT and Stardom have done empty arena shows, DragonGate have cancelled their events (the GHC Tag Title defence by Naomichi Marufuji and Masaaki Mochizuki will be rearranged), and W-1 have also cancelled events. Big Japan remain defiant, however, and so Yoshiki Inamura will still compete in the "Strong Climb" tournament. In addition, NOSAWA Rongai has cancelled his produce.
Noah have taken the decision to cancel their big Yokohama 8th March event, which would have been the last time they came to the Yokohama Bunka Gym before the renovations, and all shows and fan events until the 21st March. They will hold all four championship matches - GHC Heavyweight, junior, junior tag and GHC National at a small show at Korakuen Hall on the 29th March.
